KINGS CANYON UNIFIED MIGRANT PROGRAM
Migrant supplemental programs in KCUSD enhance the cultural, prosocial and academic development of each migrant student. The KCUSD Migrant Education Program serves students between preschool-12th grade and must not be older than 22 and not a high school graduate.
To qualify for the Migrant Education Program, a child must have moved within the past three years across school district boundaries with a migrant parent, guardian, or self, to obtain temporary or seasonal employment in an agricultural, fishing, dairy or food processing activity. Los programas suplementarios para migrantes en KCUSD mejoran el desarrollo cultural, prosocial y académico de cada estudiante migrante. El Programa de Educación para Migrantes de KCUSD atiende a estudiantes entre preescolar y grado 12 y no debe ser mayor de 22 años y no graduarse de la escuela secundaria.
Para calificar para el Programa de educación para migrantes, un niño debe haberse mudado dentro de los últimos tres años a través de los límites del distrito escolar con un padre, tutor o yo mismo migrante, para obtener un empleo temporal o estacional en una actividad de procesamiento agrícola, de pesca, lácteos o alimentos.
