Migrant Services Offers Saturday Academies

Migrant students in kindergarten through 8th grade are participating in Saturday Math and STEM enrichment classes at Grant and Citrus Middle Schools. KCUSD teachers Gabriel Rivas (Washington), Natalie Avalos Blackman (Grant), Chef Daniel Bueno (RHS/OCHS), Josephine Delarosa (SBS), Lourdes Jimenes (CMS), Domingo Rodriguez (CMS) and Jesus Martinez (AES) are leading students through a variety of engaging activities. Parents are participating in Pan y Platica, a parent engagement component facilitated in collaboration with Jefferson Adventist Health and Kings River Collaborative. Both students and parents will engage in a minimum of 30 hours of instruction during the months of October, November and December.
