Free Money for College

Help us spread the word to our 2022 and 2023 Kings Canyon Unified School District (KCUSD) graduates about a fantastic opportunity that could significantly impact their future.

The State of California’s CalKIDS program is offering eligible low-income public school students up to $1,500 in free money for college and career training expenses. This funding can be used for tuition, related fees, books, required supplies, and computer equipment.

What is CalKIDS?
CalKIDS is designed to help students pursue higher education or career training by providing them with a financial boost. Eligible KCUSD graduates from 2022 and 2023 can claim this money to cover qualified educational expenses.

How Do Graduates Claim Their Accounts?
Obtain their Statewide Student Identifier (SSID): This unique number, available from their high school, is needed to access their CalKIDS account.  Please contact your high school to receive the SSID.

We want to ensure that all eligible students take advantage of this opportunity. Please share this information with 2022 and 2023 KCUSD graduates to help us notify them.

Don't hesitate to get in touch with our high schools, if you have any questions.
