How does the KCUSD Certificated salary schedule and benefit package compare with those of neighboring districts?
Employees received a step increase (longevity) on the salary schedule in September of 2013. The annual cost of these step increases is $461,944.
Employees received a column increase (reclass based on training units) on the salary schedule in 2013. The annual cost of these column increases is $98,485.
905 active employees (Certificated, Classified, Management and Confidential) are eligible for health insurance as of September 2014, at an annual cost to the District of $10.9 million dollars.
The District’s approved budget as of October 2014 is $102 million dollars.
Kings Canyon Unified will incur additional STRS and PERS cost over the next seven years. As you can see in the graph below, in 2020 our rate will increase to 19%
Kings Canyon Unified is experiencing a decline in enrollment.
